5 Ways to Naturally Relieve Your Stress

Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the US affecting 40 million adults at the age of 18 and older. If you’re anything like me then you’ve tried
everything to relieve its existence, including all different kinds of medications prescribed by your doctor.  And you’ve also realized, like me, that medications do not work or it’s not worth dealing with the many other side effects.
There are other ways to relieve anxiety and stress completely 100% naturally!

1. Take a warm bubble bath

Put some soothing bath bombs into your tub while listening to healing frequencies on YouTube.  Listening to this could help release emotional blockages and expand consciousness.  Stop thinking, watch your tub transform into beautiful colors and just listen to the frequencies.  Focus on your breathing and remind yourself that this too shall pass!

2. Read your favorite novel

Go grab your favorite book, cuddle up, grab yourself a nice warm cup of tea or hot chocolate and decompress.

Reading can often take you away from your own reality for a bit and give you a break and/or cause you to look at your situation with a whole new perspective.  Maybe find a book that is relatable to something that you are currently going through, sometimes it

helps to know that you’re not alone.  Reading is not only relaxing, but you're also being mentally stimulated and improving your memory!

3. Get an emotional Support Animal and/or volunteer at your local animal shelter

Animals are the BEST medicine.  They will love you unconditionally, they will comfort you and be the happiest to see you every single time you walk through the door, especially dogs.  Sometimes it’s tricky to get a pet due to the living situation, however if you’ve suffering from anxiety, you are now able to certify your pet as an emotion support animal.  It’s not the cheapest solution, but your pet would be exempt from all non pet housing establishments.  Also, this law does not discriminate against any breeds.  You also might need a letter from you doctor stating that you are in need of your emotional support animal, but it’s worth it if your emotional support animal relieves your anxiety and the letter is good for an entire year.

By volunteering at your local animal shelter for even an hour of your time per week, you’re doing something that is benefiting another innocent life and the outcome is very rewarding.  Who knows, maybe you’ll adopt your emotional support pet from where you choose to volunteer at.

4. Vaporize

Suffering from anxiety can make it difficult to relax and/or fall asleep at night.

Traditional smoking raises another health concern, however vaporizing is eliminating 90% of smoke and the risk of inhaling other harmful toxins.  Vaping is the purest method of smoking that there is.

Airvape offers one of the best portable vaporizers on the market.

The Airvape Xs is a discreet, little vape that heats up quick within 20 seconds and choose the exact desired temperature.

This smoking device heats up the substance at a degree before combustion (burning), which eliminates the harmful effects associated with traditional smoking.

Before vaporizing, it used to take me hours to fall asleep at night because I just couldn’t shut my brain off!  Then I discovered vaporizing, I now sleep like a baby.

5. Get a hot stone massage

Combining hot stone protocols with a full body massage provides a very healing and effective experience. The hot stones also expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body. The hot stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation.

Get a Groupon account and find someone who is offering discounts on massages, I would recommend the hot stone massages, extremely relaxing and beneficial to your mind and body.  There are 50% discount massages every other week near your current location, but don’t forget to still tip generously.  Keep it positive and pay it forward!
