The unfair trade - The veteran story The unfair trade - The veteran story

The first anniversary of the end of World War I. Congress passed a resolution in 1926 for an annual observance, and November 11 became a national holiday beginning in 1938. Commemorates the signing of the Armistice between the Allies and Germany at 11 am on the 11 November 1918 - the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Originally called Armistice Day became known Veterans Day.

Officially a Federal Holiday since 1971.

Under the Federal law a Veteran is a person who served at least 24 moths, a former member of the Armed Forces of the United States. Military, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Cost Guards.

To be eligible and receive a pension a Veteran must have served 90 days during war, there must be an honorable discharge. Single surviving spouses are also eligible for pension. If younger 65 the veteran must be completely disabled.

Veterans sadly don't get paid too much. Not to mention all the bad trauma that they have to go through due to war memories. Luckily there are great organizations, support groups to help, and educate people to recognize how bad is to live with PTSD ( post- traumatic stress disorder )

This year, the president extended the Veterans Day to the whole month of November. Yet, about a month ago

Veterans not only suffering with PTSD but the veteran community has a higher rate of drug overdose and suicide, many of them discovered they can substitute addictive medication with cannabis.

22 Veterans commit suicide every day!
More deaths by suicide than in combat in 2012!
300.000 Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans have been diagnosed with PTSD!

Cannabis could solve all the suffering!

“ I never touched this thing in Vietnam “ said William 78, a retired veteran, “ It was only a few years ago I realized how useful it could be “

Veterans don't get much guidance how much cannabis to consume, what kind there is, or how much of it might interact with other medications.

Congress Removed Military Veteran Medical Marijuana Provision From Funding Bill. It was a great initiative for veterans to receive medical marijuana recommendations from their government doctors.

In Canada has been estimated that 2.5 million adult Canadians have suffered PTSD in there lifetime. Members of the Military, Police Officers, Firefighters, and Paramedics.

Difficult to maintain social and family relationships, careers and education.
The psychoactive chemicals in Cannabinoids are hypothesized to help to modulate the release of certain neurotransmitters involved with memory and mood.

Vaporizing is the most efficient way to consume herbs by keeping the components instead of burning them away.

AirVapeUSA, the top dry herb and wax vaporizer brand, is one of the proud sponsors of ART420 and is supporting veterans and active duty military on their website (airvapeusa.com/pages/military)

The Battle for Freedom Project, by ART420 uses art as a platform to both heal and educate. Their art therapy curriculum is designed to allow for easy implementation into daily practice with or without a therapist present.

ART420 has developed strategic partnership with medical doctors, cannabis researchers, industry professionals and advocates as well as community organizations with a passion for addressing the PTSD epidemic. The project educates veterans about the efficacy of cannabis in the treatment of PTSD and the reduction of prescription opioid use.

One amazing artwork Carla Oldham, and artist from ART420 created "Death By Substance" showing a stark comparison between tobacco, alcohol, prescription medication and cannabis (left to right)

We know veterans deserve peace in their soul and we hope that they don’t have to fight a second battle to have access to pain medicine that is not made in labs but grows in nature.
